Attorney Profile

Tim Cook marietta bankruptcy attorney Timothy G. Cook began practicing law in 1996. After graduating from law school, he started his own solo law practice in Marietta, Georgia. He has worked as a volunteer lawyer for the Cobb County District Attorney’s office. His law practice has been a general law practice with the objective of only taking so many cases at a time and committing to do an excellent job on the cases he is involved with. With his background in accounting and real estate sales of small businesses, he has always maintained a high degree of competency in bankruptcy, landlord tenant disputes, and real estate contractual disputes.

Mr. Cook is a native of Kentucky. Mr. Cook received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Christopher Newport College of the College of William and Mary in 1976. After graduation he spent several years working as controller for various hotels and horse farms. He joined Red Roof Inns, Inc., in 1980 and for six years held positions as a regional manager of operations and accounting manager. He moved to Atlanta in 1986 and worked in management for two hotels, and as a business broker for the sale of small businesses and financing of the same. Mr. Cook attended John Marshall Law School in Atlanta and received his Law degree.

The majority of the cases that Mr. Cook has been involved with are in bankruptcy, family law, and consumer contractual disputes. To a lesser degree, Mr. Cook has been involved in consumer law, collection of accounts, and both commercial and residential landlord tenant disputes.
