YOU MUST TAKE CREDIT COUNSELING PRIOR TO FILING BANKRUPTCY

This is a list of most of the Credit Counseling Agencies approved for Courts in Georgia. You will find that average fee is less than $50.00. Most of the agencies offer both online and on the phone counseling. The session will normally take about an hour. You need to have a rough household budget prepared prior to calling or going online. Figure out what you monthly household income is and what your monthly household expenses are. If you are in a hurry to file you need to use an agency that can either send you or us a Certificate of Completion of the course in PDF format by email. When you call ask them the following questions.

•1. Are they approved in the Northern District of Georgia?

•2. Can they email you a certificate of completion and how long does it take to get the certificate?

•3. If they are mailing you a certificate how long before they mail it.

•4. Do they offer any discount if you go back to them to take the required financial management class later?
